Welcome back, fall. You’ve been missed, you sexy beast.
Fall, the season of color-changing leaves, cool crisp mornings and Pumpkin Spice Lattes. You can’t logon to Facebook or Instagram and miss the fact that Starbucks’ beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte is back.
A Grande (medium) cup of the caffeine cult-favorite will run you $4.65 at Starbucks. If you drank just one latte Monday thru Friday, in a month, you would end up spending over $100! I don’t know about you but I would rather wear my paycheck than drink it.
We found a yummy Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe that you can make at home for just $1 a cup.
• 2 tablespoons half-and-half
• 2 teaspoons white sugar, or to taste
• 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
• 1 cup coffee
• 1 tablespoon whipped cream topping, or to taste (optional)
Mix half-and-half, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice together in a coffee mug. Pour coffee into mug; stir to blend.
Heat in microwave until hot, about 15 seconds. Top with whipped cream.
Still need the real thing? Our friends at Starbucks have a special limited time offer – BOGO Pumpkin Spice Lattes from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m., until September 21.
